Today is the last show for CBC YourTurn with Suhana Meharchand. The show allowed regular people to call in using their webcams, telephone, and e-mails to discuss today’s latest news between 8-9pm. They also broke new ground this election seasons by brining in Skype users live on prime time TV! This has never been done before and it was a huge success!
I can’t think of a more accessible way to allow regular people influence media coverage. It was a breath of fresh air on CBC and we want it back!

I am outraged that the GG has prorogued parliament for the sole purpose al allowing Mr. Harper and his party to escape a non confidence vote. Mr. Harper should have been made to face the house, especially since he had no one to blame for this situation but himself. We have been trying to teach our children that BULLYING is wrong. Now we have not only set an example that it is o.k. but we have legimitized it by allowing the highest representative in our government not to be held accountable. This man can not only be trusted but he is dangerous, displayed by his outrageous comments as he appears to say and do whatever he can to save his own career.This is truly a sad day for democracy in our country. Our flag should be put at half mask.
