CTV provided a handy list of promises made so far in this election. So far the biggest difference between platforms is that Conservatives are the only Canadian political party that hasn’t released any platform on the Environment. The only thing that comes close is the two-cent-per-litre tax cut on diesel and aviation fuel which will actually increase emissions further. Here is a rough breakdown of promises on the Environment:

- The NDP promises a cap-and-trade system and $8.2 billion to create “green-collar jobs. 

- Liberals promise a “Green Shift” plan.

- The Greens are promising more money for business and institutions that focus on renewable energy and conservation to be paid for by carbon taxes. 

- Conservatives? Nothing.
