Bookmakers changed the odds from 20-1 to 8-1 on the bet that Palin would be forced off the ticket. It turns out, according to a Wassila resident, Palin left a trail of carnage as mayer: sinking the town into massive debt, dumping money into bad ideas and introducing a tax policy that benefited large corporations instead of regular citizens. Sounds familiar? It appears she also wasn’t shy about enforcing her conservative ideology when she tried to ban certain books at a Wassila library and fired those who got in her way. People should also be concerned about the extent of her cultural views. According to Political Wire, Patin is against birth control pills and condoms, even if you are married, which might explain the warm welcome from she got from fellow far-right social conservatives.
Dropping a VP has happened before in the Democratic party in 1972 when George McGovern’s choice, Tom Eagleton, was forced to leave after revealing that he had undergone significant treatment for depression, including electro shock therapy. He forgot to mention that to the campaign before landing the job. Eagleton wasn’t properly vetted and got picked nearly an hour before the deadline. McGovern went on to loose that election to Richard Nixon. It turns out Palin was also was a late choice, she didn’t even do the lengthy interview until the day before she got the job. Eagleton lasted 18 days as the VP choice, so far its Palin’s 6th day and its getting worst by the hour. Although I don’t think she’ll actually get forced off, I still remember pinching myself when I heard about the pick in the first place so who knows what haste decision McCain will recklessly make next.

If Sarah Palin was the total disaster you claim she is, it seems to me the Democrats and their supporters would be delighted she’s on the Republican ticket, and would want to keep her there. Instead, they (and you) seem to be hoping she’s forced off the ticket. Interesting…
