Well, this should have legal minds scratching their heads for a long time. If Harper does ask the Governor General to call an election, a law professor at the University of Ottawa has announced his possible intentions to seek a court injunction on the grounds that its an illegal election. I can already imagine the campaign slogans Harper will be faced with whatever the outcome.
