Parliament Hill adjourned until mid September today, thank goodness! I don’t know if its just me but I really can’t take anymore of it. The petty attacks, bitter partisanship, bad policies, career politicians, Dion trying to do everything he can to avoid an election, Harper’s divisive strategies in the absence of real policy ideas, and all the silly & depressing scandals.

Most Canadians just tune it all out and switch the channel or skip ahead to a more interesting page in the newspaper. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to shake my addiction that easily. We all need a break from it all. Out of Ottawa’s bubble, I hope MP’s take this time to go back to their ridings and start talking to people, get a reality check, and cleans themselves of all the bitter and depressing partisanship.

As for me, I have to get ready for LSAT and finish up a few loose ends.
