Features fast 3G speeds, GPS, Wifi, tons of new apps by new developers, full Enterprise support, iPhone 2.0 software, and a lot more for a price of $199 for the 8 Gig version. Should be available in Canada on July 11th and will make blackberry’s look so overpriced that I think this phone may be the first real blackberry killer.
I really appreciate Apple for dropping the price so drastically on this new product, counter intuitive for most corporations considering the original iPhone released just one year ago cost up to $599. Great innovation, glad to see them open the market up to developers, it looks like it will be another great year for apple. Can’t wait to get my hands on one.
Now its up to Rogers to step up and offer unlimited data plans. Its incredible how Rogers, due to its monopoly on the GSM network, has been able to get away with charging such high prices for such poor service plans. AT&T offers unlimited data usage for 30 bucks a month for its blackberry’s while Rogers charges about the same price for just 4MB of data.
