Here is the first TV ad released by McCain. It will be aired in the following 10 (54 markets) states all the way until election day:
Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
While McCain launches this somewhat positive ad, the Republican National Committee launched its own classical fear mongering website & ads at meetbarackobama.com. At the bottom the site says: “Not Authorized By Any Candidate Or Candidate’s Committee.” The strategy is clear, McCain will produce somewhat positive and patriotic looking ads while the RNC uses old school fear mongering to make Obama look like a freshman that just got out of preschool. I guess they learned all the wrong lessons from Clinton’s campaign.
The simple response to this ad should look something like this: McCain embraces Bush’s policies of keeping American troops in Iraq, even for 100 years, a war that drains the US Economy, sends your tax dollars oversees, puts the lives of American soldiers at risk and does not make you any safer. Washington needs change, not 4 more years of Bush’s policies that bankrupt Americans.
