As someone who has seen the movement first hand, I can tell you that while tonight’s headline might be Obama’s win, the real winners today are the people of America who have been thirsty, hungry, and pleading for change. For too long, the establishment and institutional forces have had an absolute and solid grip on power. Today, that is no more. Today, is not an end to the Democratic primaries, its a beginning, a first step forward towards changing the future of America and the world. There is a lot of work ahead and America’s movement for change will need every vote, every volunteer, every dollar, and every supporter. This is why, as a Canadian I support Barack Obama.

Obama has made a believer out of me that political change is possible if enough people want it and I hope based on the accomplishment you see today, he has made a believer out of you.
