It has taken many years to get to this point and many generations of student leaders working hard ensure UofT’s student union structure is in place to best serve the needs of both UTM and St. George students. As a result, we have been able to provide much needed autonomy while strengthening the unity of St. George and UTM.

This change has now been recognized by the Canadian Federation of Students and UTMSU is now the proud owner of the Local 109, as approved unanimously. It is the reason for why I am attending this year’s 53rd national CFS meeting. This is a picture of the vote taking place.
