GO Transit and the Amalgamated Transit Union have reached a revised tentative agreement which means there will be NO GO BUS STRIKE! GO Train and Go Bus services will continue to operate.

There was a meeting held after the holidays and a deal was reached. This agreement must still be ratified by the GO’s Board of Directors and a membership vote by the union but it looks like a potential crisis in the GTA’s transportation system has been avoided.

Phew. Don’t bet the mainstream media reporting on this in any major way though, good story endings don’t nearly get as much coverage as the bad ones.
